even if it is the same motor on the 2.0 as the 2.4 the problem you are going to face is this. If you change over to manual don't just think the job is done. you will also need a flywheel and clutch,6speed manual ecm, shift linkage etc...
yeah thats the prob. was just a question i had in mynd.... really wanted a manual i hate auto but its all they had needed to be pre orderd wat not i messed up but i guess eventually i can do wat you did to your ryd crock89 nitrous that iiissshhh naw wat i mean ... thanx for your input guys

Some of those words are spelled correctly so they don't all need to be red...
Anyway, you'd probably be better off trading for a new vehicle considering all the work and money to be spent converting to a manual tranny. Now if you wanted to convert to a RWD setup now that's a different story.
related question/statement: I'm going to be really pissed if the diff from kinetic or the lightweight flywheel only bolts up to the six speed and not the five speed. any ideas if it'll work with both?
Most likely it can be done,
but you'll have to check if there is a place for the clutch pedal assembly,
and I'm hear too tell you that part of the job alone is a real nightmare on some cars.
like the mitshu eclipse for example you have to take dam near half the dash apart just to get the pedals in in out..
I'd agree it would be easier to just trade your car for a manual.
