Hey all,

Was wondering what you think about the reccomended service schedules at the dealers?

For example I am up for my 12 month service and along with the oil change they want to do a throttle body service, fuel system service and brake maintenance service. This costs a heck of a lot more than a oil change.

Should I go ahead with this or is just the oil change sufficient?

You could always go ahead and ask the dealer about this. Of course they'll give you a biased answer and tell you to go through with it, but ask if you could delay the process for a future date. And if anything ask to talk to the mechanic. Mechanics get paid either way and from my experience talking to the mechanics at my dealership they very down to earth and will give good advice. In the end it would never hurt to get those checks done on your Forte but is it really worth it? That's up to you.

Lol. No. Just change the oil.

Im intrested to see what a throttle body service is. And brake maint? WTF?
You should eyeball them and check them, but don't let the stealership rape you.
What is your mileage?

My dealer stung my wife for a 100$ synthetic oil change.
I won't go there again, unless its for a warranty issue.

Check Owners' Manual!

I bet if you check your owner's manual, you wont find any of those "extra" services at 12,000 miles. Probably time to find a good, trustworthy, independent mechanic.
