does anyone know how to remove the shift knob from a 5 speed manual? i am looking into switching out the shift knob, but not too sure how it comes off. Is it just a regular twist off?

Just twist it off like a bottle cap. I replaced mine a few months ago because the factory threads are plastic and it was loosening up which bothered me.

Remember that you need to replace it with a reverse lock featured knob.

There is a plastic piece at the bottom of the shift knob (auto) that twists off exposing a screw. Remove screw, and lift knob off. Very easy...
