I see a tiny little button behind the gear shift labeled ' shift lock release'

What is this, I'm not wanting to push it and find out and my manual is at home now, was reading it last night and forgot to bring it down to the car today. What is the function of this button?

It's not actually a button. It's a cover that can be removed and underneath it is a button that when pushed, will allow you to shift gears without the engine running or foot on the brake or key in the ignition. Typically this button needs to be pressed with a car key or something of that general shape. Basically, even if your engine blows up or your battery dies or whatever catastrophe you could imagine, you will still be able to shift your transmission out of park and move your vehicle.

You will run into a lot of people on this forum who have a whole lot of both good and bad things to say about our cars. In my opinion, they are great vehicles. They have whack loads of standard features, they are good on gas, and they perform accordingly. I think they are great cars for what you pay.

^^^ Great reply DK. I love the way my car looks, I get good MPG and it's fun to drive!
I'm also enjoying "modding", as I never had a car that was worth improving! (Flower on a @%$ kind of thing)

Haha. I can totally relate to that! The only modification my last vehicle got was a lift kit. Not even bigger tires or anything. Lol. This car I actually worth enjoying and putting money into. IMO.
