How much shorter is the throw?
Koup SXR has it installed and measured the distances about 7/8" shorter throw. Install right here.
this shifter that deland kia is selling is the same one that was mentioned some months ago by .....grr...i forget....but by someone in here......
deland kia seems to be a kia dealership that is ahead of the other kia dealers by putting the offical kia add ons on the web waaaay before any other kia dealers even think of putting anything up.......
this is honestly the only one I've found so far. Makes me wish our car was just a little older so we could have a gang of aftermarket parts to choose from
lol 7/8" of an inch?? thats not really that much of a diffrence! the should call it, "semi-short shifter"
Hi guys,

We have some VERY good news concerning your short shifter needs! We already have a few prototypes on the road and the feedback is great so far! This shifter uses the same parts as our widely acclaimed Cobalt SS short shifter, so it's going to give you the short, precise shifts you've dreaming of.

As some of you may already know, we have cable bushings and base bushings available for your cars. In a few weeks we will also have stainless steel weighted shift knobs made specially for the Kia Forte.

We're looking at a release during December so stay tuned!

ummmmm?!?!?! ok?? lmao
Has anyone used these bushings? Just curious to know how different the feel is before/after. Smoother? Less vibration?

I'm not a big fan of the forte shifter so I'd like to know if it makes things noticeably better?

what exactly do the cables and bushings do??
can you get away with just buying the short shifter, or do you need the whole package to get the real benefits??

You could only install the short shifter without any problems. The bushing just enhance the feeling.

From TWM website
New TWM Performance bronzoil shifter cable bushings remove unwanted flex from your car's shifter cables by replacing the rubber bushings on the transmission end of the shifter cable with precision machined bronzoil bushings.
Installation of our new shifter cable bushings results in a far more precise, solid shift feel. All shifter cable bushing sets are CNC machined from bronzoil billet, and include all necessary hardware and illustrated installation manual. You don't need to have a TWM short shifter to enjoy the benefits these bushings offer, any cable actuated shifter's feel is greatly improved with this very simple and easy to install mod!
