What is expected life of the spark plugs? Are the OEM ones special (made from unobtanium, etc.)?

The owner's manual lists a LONG replacement interval for them. I am an over-maintainer so that bothers me

Remember too that if a spark plug isn't working well you WILL know it via the on-board diagnostics. THAT should make you feel more at ease!

If it AIN'T broke, DON'T fix it!!!!!! Unless it makes it prettier,,, :)

I replaced mine at 100,000 miles. Easy peasy. Just remember that after you remove the bolt from the coil on each plug, twist the coil in order to break the seal between the boot and spark plug. When you install the new plugs, make sure to use a little bit of boot lube on the wire. I say this because one member recently had a problem separating the boot from the plug.
