Just installed Ultra Racing Lower Bar on my 5 door - what an amazing difference it has made - plants the rear end, got rid of alot of understeer and the bumps aren't as noticeable - this one is well worth the money
This is first suspension upgrade to this car - next will be front upper strut bar - i will follow up with report on it:D:D:D

Super easy - about 20 minutes from the time u jack it up.

Make sure u use both washers that come with kit, no instructions came with bar.
Small washer goes next to bolt head and large washer goes against bar washers are too thin to use separatly
:D

Just installed upper strut bar - made alittle difference in handling and ride - if you are looking to improve handling go for rear bar - it makes a hugh difference over the strut bar - :D:D

hmmm...I have an ex and have been quite disappointed with the ride and handling... the back end is all over the place and very bouncy on rougher roads. Have you driven with this on some not so smooth roads? Does it primarily make a difference in the side to side tail wag? Does it help with the trampoline feel of the EX too? Thinking this might be a well spent $100 if it helps the ride and handling of our ex a bunch.

I also want to know if you've driven it hard on curvy roads. Several members have mentioned the exhaust pipe flexed into the bar and made noise and needed modding.

The rear bar stabilizes the whole ass end. As far as curvy roads - I went on some this week - man what a difference handles awesome. I am completely happy with this upgrade cant say enough about it. I am 62 years old and love a car that can handle the curves - I used to have a Mini and this car now handles almost as good as it did. Few more tweeks and i think it will:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

You've got me seriously considering this rear lower bar. Just might pull the trigger in the next few days. I hate how my EX handles right now. Well on the highway and fairly smooth roads it's okay but a bit bumpier and twistier roads and it goes to Hell fast.... I'm sure the bar won't fix all my problems (I think an underdamped suspensions system has something to do with that) but it sounds like it does a nice job of stiffening up the rear end and taking a lot of the flexy cheap feeling out of the suspension.

I drive bumpy pothole infested curvy roads everyday so I'll be able to give some feedback on those conditions when mine comes in probably early next week. That is the area I'm primarily hoping to improve, any little bit will be a huge improvement since the Forte5 is terrible on these roads now. I'm really hoping it works as well as tools says it does.

The EX seems to have a softer suspension than the SX. I was hoping someone with an SX is going to try out the rear bar. The handling of the SX is fantastic, very little lean and it grips like crazy. However, the rear jumps around some on bumpy curves. If the rear bar would cure that, the handling would be just about perfect. Now, about the overly firm ride......

I have an SX and I got ordered one last week and got it today. I'm hoping to have time to put it on by this time next week but might not be able to for a couple of weeks :(

I will post a review for the SX once I get it done if nobody else gets too!

Walpole, I was seriously considering trying to find a used SX suspension because I think the suspension on the EX is too soft most the time. Primarily I think it's very under dampened. I'm going to see what this bar does for the overall ride of the car and go from there.

Tools did you get any kind of shipping confirmation/tracking when you ordered yours... I haven't heard anything since placing my order.
