I just got my Hot and Sexy Black SX Koup Wednesday July 21 and it has already saved my life and itself. I go to ITT TECH in Oxnard, Ca and today I was going down a normal mountain I have to go and there was an accident at the bottom of the mountain the idiot in front of me decides to suddenly stop to look at forcing me to brake hard and turn hard into the shoulder to avoid the crash and the car did an amazing job correcting itself and slowing down to a point that I could avoid the wall. Kia did a great job with the traction control and associated features. So I Thank Kia because my last car wouldn't of been able to do things that this car did.

glad to hear all the systems worked as advertised.

do wish that KIA had high skill driving classes so we could learn how to do everything the cars could do......

after all- cars that some of us grew up learning to drive are so far different from the cars we are driving today......(and for those of us that have quite some time between our crazy racing days on those old cars- to these new cars with alsorts of gizmos)

had something similar happen to me last week.

Moron in a jeep decides to skip the light and merge back into traffic, without looking.

Slammed brakes, dropped 2 gears and traction control kicked on while I slalomed around him.

Scared the crap out of the guy next to me and the jeep (the jeep ended up driving over the curb and up onto the median before merging again).

The guy pulled up next to me at the next light was just staring at me and the car.

They are built pretty solid too...
Got rear-ended today by some guy not paying attention. Hit me at like 15km/hr ... car held up great.
Just one broken screw on the black molding, a crack license plate cover, and his paint on my tow hook and exhaust tips.
Good Job Kia for making a nice sound, safe, sexy looking car.

Just a question, am I the only person that got crappy Nexen tires from the factory?
I got Nexen tires on mine. I didn't take too much a look at the tires on the other cars in the lot, but mine was an early manufactured car (May, 2009), was used as a demo model, and was purchased in the Midwest US.

To the original poster: Glad you're alright. I know in my old car I couldn't have done that, but have a lot of faith in my zippy forte.

I think SX in the US got Goodyear Eagle LS. That is what I have on my SX sedan. In my opinion, they are not all season, but rather 3 season tires. I thought they sucked in even the lightest snow.

On the original post, glad to hear everything worked out for youl

Oh yeah brakes on these cars are the best I think I've ever had on a car, and has anybody else noticed how the braking gets even quicker when its raining or wet? or is it just me?
