if IF IF IF .... adding one additive once to a tank of gas was able to fully clean carbon crusted valves the motor would be junk afterwards... that’s a lot of carbon bouncing around in the cylinders in a very short amount of time....

Lol. Today at fill-up I calculated 19 mpg. Computer said I drove 188 miles for 24.3 mpg.😂😂😂
A couple more tanks like this and it's back to the dealership we will go.
Mine does it too. I don't think it's broken, it's just how it's programmed. They want to make it look like you're getting better MPG so you're happier about the car.
Yeah I was expecting the usual 2 point difference..now it's 5.
Are you running any modifications? Do you use the paddle shifters all the time?
No mods. I don't use the paddle shifters at all.
Then unless you commute uphill both ways towing a trailer your car is broken.

How’s the performance of your car?
I typically get 30 at the least and close to 40 on the highway. It calculates around 420 on the range on a tank, going by the digital display.
I whole-heartedly agree. I’m terrible for spirited driving. My DNA is not wired for economical driving and I get way better mileage than he does. And my commutes are 2.5 miles each way. Not economic at all.

All that is good. Less than 5k miles on the car. For the moment I'm going to assume the odometer for the tank of gas somehow reset itself.
I'm now putting it in sport mode right away so the car warms up faster. Right now the computer says I'm at 25 mpg on the tank. I've pretty much decided to burn off this tank of gas in sport mode. I might as well have fun for my troubles. Ha.
If it drives nice I would be terrified to have the dealership address the fuel mileage.. it might run like a limp dick by the time they are done with it.
Maybe I'll talk to my shop and see what their options are for diagnostics and a fix.
MPG has stabilized somewhat. Getting about 25/23 on the tank. It stills shows low mileage though. Says I've driven about 140 miles and I just hit the half tank mark. I was at 94 for the first quarter so I expected to be at more than half that at this point.
