I didn't know Black Orchid was such a demanding colour. Originally I was told I'd have my car 72 hours after I signed the papers, but now it's turned in to a couple of weeks! The end of the month can't come soon enough!

How long did everyone here have to wait until they drove away in their new Koup?

I waited 2 weeks for my black beauty, they had to bring it in from another dealer 4 hours outside on Edmonton. The dealer told me that black is most popular colour and that people were waiting for months on end when it first came out.

Wait almost 2 month. But I order mine in september 2009! At the time only demo (Koup SX) were in showroom. By the way, dealers tested those demo on ICAR track!?!? so I didn't want it!!!!!

I hear ya. Kinda surprising that black is the most popular colour...I haven't seen any black koups in Toronto at all! I've seen a few blue, red and whites ones around though.

It funny that you say that, now that I actually think of it all I see is white and red ones in Edmonton. I have only seen one other black one other than mine. I just figured the dealer would know more than me...maybe not...

I ordered mine Aug and recived it in November!

Black on Black 6spd SX was the hardest one to get according to my dealer

It was well worth the wait

I got kind of lucky.. they had a black on black sx in the showroom I put a hold on the car with in the week .. of course being it was in the showroom has some draw backs, ie dealers using my car as a desktop but it was the first koup I saw that talked to me.. and the few fine scratches helped me talk them down on the price some.

I love my car and I'm glad I got the black one so far I've not seen another black koup yet not even at the dealer I bought mine at.

I got mine the same day I signed the papers!!! Had about 90 miles on it from test driving it from test drives [I test drove it twice ] and I made the deal with the salesmen and got an amazing warranty and had to take it and drove off a couple hours later after they had to prep the car love my beauty and now the non stop mods have begun!

My experience was a bit odd. After my test drive, my salesman told me it would take about 2 months for him to get me a white one. I still had 3 months left on my current lease, so I went back a month later and told him I wanted one.

At that point he told me it would take 3 or 4 weeks. So it would be about a month early, but not the end of the world. 3 DAYS later he said my car arrived and they were quite insistent that I take it right away.

It didn't really cost me anything because of the "don't pay for 90 days", but I do have 2 cars now, lol.

I know exactly what you mean about waiting though, UPS says my wheels are "out for delivery", so I'm sitting at home staring out the window

I waited 2 weeks to get a Koup SX in Corsa Blue without a moon roof (this was before I was aware that it is impossible to get the SX without a moon roof. The dealer said they could get one no problem, car came in with a moon roof. He then BS'd me about how they did work on the seat to make it lower, as if I wouldn't notice how my head rubbed against the ceiling. Jackass.

Went to a different dealer a couple days later and drove away in my sedan SX in corsa blue. Still wish I could of gotten that koup though =[

I searched for 2 weeks and found a dealer 45 miles from my house with the black on black sx sedan and went and picked it up that day.

Signed the papers for mine on the 4th and they're expecting to deliver at the end of the month. Which by then, I'll be on vacation for 2 weeks. So I'll be getting it mid July

I just bough an Electric Blue Koup at Foster Kia up in Scarborough last week. Its probably on the same boat or train as your car! Blue was nearly impossible to get but they did some dealer trades to get it for me.

Suppose to have it by June 29th! Lets hope it arrives earler.

Haha yep, probably on the same boat! He told me it will be landed on the 28th...fingers crossed it arrives a little earlier than expected! It would be nice to have the new car for the canada day weekend!

The only reason I got my black koup is because the guy that ordered it was turned down for financing. I was originally goung to get a white one, but when I saw the black I couldn`t resist. I swore I wouln never have another black car again too, up keep is not fun with black that`s for sure!
