I inadvertently added too much coolant to my 2012 Forte5 SX. It’s very difficult to read the marks on the side of the reservoir bottle. Will the excess just drain off as engine runs or do I need to have dealer drain it?

Drain it at the petcock/plastic screw, at upper or lower radiator hoses just to lower the radiator fluid level.
Top radiator hose give one control to squeeze out without the deluge. Bottom radiator hose & gravity will flood. Unless you're fast.

I was going to suggest the EXACT same thing!
But then I thought about the coolant reservoir on my 2010 Koup SX and how it would be impossible. So it really depends on the reservoir. Mine's a pain in the ass and it's next to impossible to see the levels, too. See attached pic.

Mine is the same. I use a flashlight & illuminate the tank so that I can see the fill top line.

Use a turkey baster or other suction device with a long thin hose on the end that'll fit into the reservoir.
