the tpms sensors are an extra $400 I wont really be able to afford easily, but I am shopping for wheels and tires. Is it possible to permanently deactivate the tpms sensor so that the light doesn't show up anymore, or is it just a light and no chime, and not that noticeable?
Thanks!

1. Tpms can be moved from old wheels onto new wheels, Kia authorized dealer must re-sync them.
2. If your tpms is disabled you get a light that is constantly on, however it does not affect your car in any adverse way.
thank you very much, didn't know they were transferrable
I'm pretty sure I'm going to go with some kumho performance tires and sparco drift wheels, and I'll get dealer to transfer the tpms when I go to get them refilled with nitrogen anyways

just be careful because not all rims will work with the tpms... I know most tire websites will tell you if the rims are compatible with factory sensors...

Any new vehicle from 2004 up is supposed to be equipped with tpms regardless of package add ons... It has become a safety feature making it almost mandatory in every vehicle...
