Turbo'd Forte Koup vs. Hyundai Genesis 3.8 Track
Just wondering on who would win? With 2 evenly skilled drivers behind the wheels of course. The Koup has 300hp/300ft lb and the genesis has 306hp/266 ft lb. The Koup weighs at about 2900 lbs I believe and the genny is at about 3300 lbs. I would think the koup would win in a drag cuz the extra torque will def help in a drag race but idk about a track race. What do u guys think?

+1.... This forums is on the verge of going from "what CAI Exhaust Lowering Springs should I get" to "What will the Turbo Koup beat in a race" .... If you wanna know go get your own turbo and find out because very few people have them
If your looking to get either a koup or Genesis you should not be making your decision off who wins in a drag race and also your comparing a 18K car to a 40k Car...
When you come to pittsburgh my boss said he'll race you crock. He has a 3.8 track 6spd.
That would be a nice race to watch, but like others have mentioned those are two rare cars with two very different price tags. If the forte can hold its own that I find that respectable to compete against a car that was designed to be fast with no aftermarket parts needed.
At sea level, likely the Genesis. At any decent elevation, the turbo'd Kia.
It's just a comparison to 2 cars with similar specs. I don't care about the cost or rarity just a hypathetical if they met. Idk y it's such a huge deal.
Depends where you are. In Calgary, at 5,500ft above sea level, the Genesis is probably only pushing 260-280 horsepower. The Turbo Forte would push the 300, since it's force fed.Genesis hands down IMO

3.8 Gencoupe would tear it apart. The suspension and brakes were designed for the track, vs the Forte's econ-based suspension. As much as I like to see the Forte win, it wouldn't happen.
idk i think the forte would give the gene a run for its money. Going through GMR the forte took the corners like a beast

you missed the point, the koup and genesis are mass production cars, they are found in large numbers.rare/re(ə)r/Adjective
