TK has a new shipment of the polished CAI in, so I pulled the trigger today!
Finally finished the install with the thermal wrap and ecu bracket.

the cai will make you laugh and smile when driving with the cai installed..the first couple drives.

yay! you'll love it! just remember to remove and vacuum the filter about every 3 or 4 months

no the K&N should be solid for a lifetime. granted there are exceptions but i dont think you'd need to buy another one. i could be wrong tho

they sell k&n filter cleaning kits at autozone

From what I know... You can hose off the k&n filter and use it a forever.....I could be wrong tho

Oiled filters such as K&N need to be cleaned about every 10,000 miles.
Wash them out with water and a cleaning solution, let them dry completely and then re-oil them and let sit for a while to let the oil even out. Then it's good for another 10k!
I might be wrong on the interval, but I'm pretty sure it's 10k... could be more, definitely not less though! Gotta love it.

I have yet to get a CAI, but I have a custom SRI in the works!

He's getting a turbo so he would have to remove it once it was installed so he didn't bother putting one in to begin with.

I'm assuming that the filter provided is matched for the performance of the intake. That and the amount of room available is limited.

I doubt anyone has felt the need for a larger filter?

No, you can have a CAI on any turbo car, he meant this intake would no longer fit.

K&N puts out a filter for the TK CAI????

Sort of the other way around, TK puts a K&N filter on their CAI to begin with.
