I will get the weight differences for you ASAP! You typically save 50 - 70% in weight with the carbon fiber hood vs stock. No tot mention it just looks slick

why- if you have the weight advantage of a CF hood-
why wouldnt you paint it stock - to hide that advantage?
sure the paint might weigh a lil more- but isnt that all part of the fun?
(i like losing weight- but i dont wanna look like i am out trying to race all the ricers here in tampa......)

You can paint CF but I believe, and anyone correct me if I'm wrong, you can still see the texture of the CF. You could buy a fiberglass hood which weighs even less than CF and paint it to match the body of your car.one silly question i havent seen pop up before-

Yes, there is a spot on the CF hood to attach the factory prop rod. There is also a hood latch as well. We do suggest the use of hood pins as extra safety, but it does have a hood latch.
It's done very well, there is a 6 month warranty on it too
Since most people buy the hoods for the look as well as the weight advantage painting the CF is rare, however, a good painter should be able to match your color and allow some of the pattern to come through which would be pretty sick
To CANADA, yes, it would be pretty expensive. It about $90 - $130 to ship in the US.
