I just tested evap charcoal canister which is under my car. This item controls the fumes or toxic ozone gases from escaping. Apparently the Vapor Canister Purge Valve Solenoid 314301D500 failed. So I tested doing continuity test with a multimeter that determines if a circuit board or any other electronic is bad. Sure enough it need to be replaced

I’ll let you know the results after the fix. One of the symptoms of this is a check engine light, rough idle and supposedly poor gas mileage

Thanks for the share! My vapor canister on my 02 Maxima was bad a few years ago. A spring inside was stuck. I was able to crack it open, lube the spring and silicon it shut! Those little units can be such a pain!
