Just a quick question about viper 5101 installation.
I had rear defog and lock/unlock connected, but installer said I can't turn the rear defog on until 4 signal lights come on. But according to the manual it is turned on automatic with below 55f in temp, which doesnt, and have to wait about 10-15 sec before I can manually turn it on.

Is this normal for Forte? Everything else seems to be working as it is supposed to be..

The rear defogger, if connected correctly, turns on when the temp inside the car is less than 55 F. It has to be programmed to "pulsed" (Menu 3, Section 11, Option 3). Rear defogger wire is brown/orange (pin 24, white 26-pin plug behind climate control module).

wow- another kia tech or someone that has read/memorized the entire KGIS site... etiher way- wow!

and all of the above on a 1st post? oh boy- this might be fun.

I realized that rear defoger does turn on, but as soon as I turn the key to on position turns off.. didn't realized that.. remote starter rookie here..
