Walked in on a Honda forum...

only other time i browse other car forums is from a google search.

my best friend loves honda, owns 3 of them (one acura) him and I actually have an on-going talk about honda vs kia and so on.


He's active on his forums and did admit that he read a post about 'if the genesis was a honda would you own one?' he informed me of all the postive feed back, pretty much the brand name of hyundai was all that was holding current civic owners from buying it.


the fact that the koreans are pretty much making honda and other car companies step up their game with value for money, features and over all great cars. What took the japs 30+ years to do (establish a solid name and trust in american/canada) koreans did in ~20 years.

I remember the Hyundai excel and pony...

I guess the Honda forums people don't realize that the Hyundai Kia group actually sold more cars than Honda did in 2010.

Both great cars LOL.

But seriously, KIA and Hyundai are not producing the same type of cars they did in their humble beginnings. You have to start somewhere. They came a long way, and in my opinion is now dominating the industry with beautiful cars that give great value compared to the competition. It don't make any sense when people are buying the same cookie cutter vehicles because they are loyal. These manufacturers didn't birth you, unless you was actually born in one Lol. I say the same for most entry level BMW's. I see them everywhere. All you getting is an overpriced name. You can get a fully loaded decked out Hyundai or KIA with way more features, and have a great feeling knowing you have extra change in your pockets. I have a lot of friends in this situation after seeing my car. I say Honda and any other manufacture loyalists can stick with their brand, it only makes mines more unique .

Nowadays you are just paying for the name really. And I am sorry but I am of a humble income so dishing out extra couple thousand bucks for a name makes no sense to me.
