I know the car has a powertrain warranty to 100K miles, but there are still many other service costs you will need to pay over 100K miles.
What is the maintenance schedule like (not just the oil changes) and what should cost be for each visit ?
Does the 2.0 engine require timing belt changes and how often and at what cost?
Any idea what other major "non-scheduled" maintainance you will need over 100K miles? Of course you will need to go through at least a few sets of tires and maybe a few brake jobs. I wonder how much all this might cost?
Are the special silica tires from the Fuel Economy Package extra expensive to replace and do they have reduced tread wear compared to "normal" tires which would cause these special tires to require more frequent replacement?

What you seek is in the small book next to the owners manual in the glove box.

Both the 2.0 and the 2.4 have timing chains...good to more than 100K miles. I expect my brakes to go 100K miles too...but then again I don't "rally" race driving to and from work.. or any place else...LoL!

Make sure you check the list of conditions that are considered severe use. After reviewing them, I contacted local dealer and was informed cars in this area fall under severe use due to salt use on the roads and dusty environment. This makes service interval 5000 miles instead of 7500 in order to maintain the 100k powertrain warranty.

"severe use" is something all manufacturers use as a bit of a scam in my opinion. I have seen severe use defined as driving in heat, cold, city, stop and go, towing, dusty conditions, dry conditions...yeah, pretty much any type of driving almost anyone would do.

I agree but I would rather not have a warranty claim denied because I was too cheap to get a couple of extra oil changes a year.

I brought up the same concern about the maintenance interval with my local Kia dealership. As long as I do the 5000K or 7500K interval for my service, I should be okay.
FYI for you "Do it yourselfers"- Save your reciepts and buy your filter from your local Kia/Hundai dealership.

BEWARE of dealers that offer free oil changes with filters. I scratch mark my oil filters before taking in for a free dealer oil change and have found the same scratch mark on the filter afterwords which means they never changed the oil filter. This happened to me twice so far on a brand new vehicle. It was at Transitown in West Seneca, NY dealership.
