What causes this noise?

Hey y’all. Mom honestly not sure if I’m posting this in the correct section. Feel free to move it.

anyways, about 20 mins ago this area (as seen in pictures) has begun to make a noise.
It kinda sounds like a vibrating noise.
Has anyone else experienced this as well?
I’m driving a 2021 Forte GT-Line.

it’s from either this area:
83600

Or this area right behind the dashboard.
83601

kinda sounds like when you put a plastic bottle on top of change and it starts to make vibrating noise. It’s not super loud but you can hear it. It’s louder when you got roads with a more rough pavement. You can barely hear it when the road is super smooth.

hope someone can help! This is confusing.I had the car for 4 weeks barely.

Most cars have that dashboard rattle. My Forte SX doesn't.

You can push into the seam foam, rubber, weather strip, vinyl tubing/strip.

Home Depot, Lowe's.

Hope this helps.

are there any instructions somewhere on how to do this?

edit: is it normal to happen out of the blue like that? Should I take it to the dealership?🙈
Be sure to remove all personal items that didn't come with the car, then check for the sound again. My garage door opener buttons were rattling until I moved it t a different spot.

Do you have anything in the sunglass holder? Try removing anything from there to see if the noise goes away.

From reading & videos, most just push the complete strip of cushion into the crevice without breaking anything.

The rear deck can be done the same.

Yessir already tried that. Sadly no luck :(
It definitely sounds like it’s coming from the middle thing that looks like a speaker. What is it anyways? Cause there’s for sure no sound/music coming out through there, I think 🙈

I think that's the bluetooth speaker? I can't be sure for the Forte but most modern cars with the middle speaker that doesn't pump out sound are usually used for phone calls, etc
But I'm thinking something must have come loose? At least it's still under warranty so bring it up at your next service.

Center speaker - if it's not working maybe somethin is loose:

Center speaker
Ahh, thanks for verifying. Wasn't sure if it was a 'speaker' speaker. But it's good to know you can detach it without having to remove the entire dash.

interesting! Thank you. Do y’all think I should try and open it up and maybe drive around without the cover for a bit to see if it really comes from there?
also: where can I find those instructions?

IMO you should have the dealer look at it. That way if they damage anything (like the speaker cover) they get to replace it...:)

LOL! The proverbial: "if it was a snake it would have bit you"...
Did you ever figure it out? My forte just started this.

Yup, that's probably it. I had that rattle drove me nuts, wasn`t sure where it came from until I opened the sunglass holder, it disappeared right away.

Hello,
sorry for disturbing, I'm just searching for information to fix the dash Noise in my Forte 2020 and found your thread. Mine has same problem with yours, noise is disappeared when I push down the dash or the head-unit, or the center speaker. So I wonder if you have found the root cause ?
Post #9 & #18. See if those help. If under warranty take to dealership. If something breaks, it's on them.
