What have you done to your Forte/Cerato/K3 today?

This type of thread has been done on a few forums I’ve frequented over the years. It’s generally become one of the more popular threads.

Basically, what have you done for your car lately? No matter how mundane - like washing it - or how spectacular - full coilover swap, tell us! And also, include photos if you can!

Is the shift knob from a Veloster?

Can't seem to find a wrecked Veloster 6MT in my area, even a manual wrecked vehicles are rare at my local pull apart.

Hi,

No, it is the 2016 Forte SX shift knob.

I have had to tap it à 12mm X 1.25 to fit it on the new shifter.

As it is worn out a bit, I ordered one on ebay.

It is still availaible for around 30$US + shipping.

This didn't happen today but I keep forgetting to update/close out the dog strike incident. Car is back to 100% now. My dealer charges $525 to program and recailbrate the front radar unit. Everybody else was charging $480. Yikes! But its done, along with the 6K service. Pays to ask question before saying you want stuff done. Don't assume because you asked 4 people and got the same answer that number 5 will say the same!

I also changed the trunk "FORTE" emblem to a "K3". I think it looks great. Added a red "2" to the "GT" as well. The finish on the "K3" matches the stock grey perfectly.

Car got new rubber coasters. Not really sure what to call them. Rubber pads that line the bottom of storage places. Was only looking for one for the cupholder but all these came in the set. Set has one for each storage place in the car.

I also put on door sill protectors. One for each door. Don't care too much for the fake carbon fiber look, but it isnt too noticeable.

New logo KIA vale stem caps in black. No pics of it tho.

Added a dash cam. Front and rear. Same unit is in all three of my vehicles. Rexing.

Added the correct mudflaps on the front. It came with NON-GT units that fit very poorly. I ended up just buying them myself instead of getting the dealer to fix it.

Also, had to get a new rear passenger tire yesterday. Picked up a screw near the sidewall.

Be careful with those valve stem caps - they will seize onto the valve stems and you’ll break your expensive TPMS valve stems trying to get them off. I wouldn’t run them

Very true, most of those aftermarket caps seize to the valve stem and break after time. I think it is related to corrosion between dissimilar metals.

How are these Rev 9 coilovers? I see them on Ebay.

I don't have Bunch of money for BC, Megan, blistein coilovers.

Need to replace oem/factory rear driver. It's leaking fluid.
Trimmed the transmission mount insert steel plate. Hopefully I ground enough off so that it does not hit the inside of the trans mount this time.

Mine did but it was super light and you could barely notice it

It looks like you took enough off. It’s relatively easy to take out and shave a bit more if needed. I had to take a little bit more after my first attempt.

Same. They must have decided to be proud of it.

Evilla strut bar arrived today. Put it in within 10 minutes of getting home. (It took so long because the wife wouldn‘t let me get back outside without me saying hi  )

Thanks for the feedback. Hoping this is enough since it is the third attempt.

Removed the aftermarket remote starter and the interface for keyless start.

And another thing that I've been able to identify as a "tag" by calling the manufacturer.
The manufacturer confirmed that it is no longer activated.
The tag is the kind of antenna with a push button, at left on the first picture.
Check the connection for the tag on second picture.
