I believe it is part of the dual climate control system (if installed) I think all Forte's have this even if the dual system is not installed.

Part of climate control.......auto air conditioning rather than duel....my bad

Actually its a Mic for the drive up at Mickey D's, so you can get a jump on the cars in front of you
