if you look at the inner part of the right hand side of steering wheel-
you can see the push button start-
if you look a lil up and toward the outside of the steering wheel- you can see the mysterious grill.....

That photo shows me my car is fine, my airbag cover with the badge also looks like its somewhat distorted like it was bent or twisted on install. Apparently its suppose to look like that. Kinda crappy

It's where the "Start Engine" button would be if your car had the push button start feature. Instead of making 2 molds for the Forte dash (one with the button and one without) Kia just used one mold for all models and put that nice little cover over the hole for any car that didn't need it. There has been a thread about this once before.

Wrooong ... I'm from Egypt and my car is equipped with start engine button and i have this too .. i think it is for the auto ac sensor.

but yeh, glad to see my airbag coverplate or w/e isnt a 1 of a kind fuckup, they all look like they were mangled.
