I just bought my 2010 EX sedan on the last day of December. I really want to upgrade the wheels to something cool AND classy.

What kind/style of rims look best on this car? My Forte' is white, I am (very) white, but I do want it to look sweet. I went to the tire-rack but it is really hard to tell what they will look like on the real car.

I am going to tint out the windows, which look great on a white car, and add the rims. That is all. I want it to be fairly low key. It's not a race car. I enjoy "spirited" driving on back roads however. Car & Driver said the steering was "numb and uncommunicative". I strongly disagree. It handles VERY good, and a set of wider tires should make it even better. By a lot!

Can any of you help me figure out what is best?

Hello. Glad you enjoy and appreciate your Forte as well. Just thought I'd give you my opinion on rims. As far as actual styling goes, I'd say that's up to you, but as far as color goes, I've always thought gunmetal looks great with white. Also think it looks good with spicy red (what I have) :).

If you want handling you better stick with lightweight wheels. The heavier you go the worse it gets.

If you are just going for looks, you need to be the judge because you will be living with them everyday. I think silver finish or gunmetal works well.

Gunmetal/magnesium style rims

Hey, I totally agree on the gunmetal look. I also don't have giant, cool brake calipers, so I don't want rims that show off my dinky rear rotors and calipers,

I have a picture of the SX model in white, with the windows tinted. I looks SHARP. It is bone stock. It looks like the calipers are red...but I can't really tell.

If you want to keep good handling then a good light weight wheel is what you are after. I have had 2 sets of 5Zigen wheels and they have both been awesome. They have a ProRacer FN01R-C Hot Version that is a great wheel, in 17x8 it is 16-18 lbs depending on offset. I plan to get them for my Lancer in titanium and when we buy the Forte (it is on lease right now) mat black. I say you get silver or titanium for you white car.

I like this style, but I have the stock disc brakes and calipers, and I don't want my dinky rotors to be exposed! I know light it right, but I will have to settle for a bit of weight so it looks cool.
