Hey Guys, My 2017 Forte LX didn't come with a spare tire and I'm kind of pissed about that. When I asked about getting one, I was told it will be about $400? Are you kidding me?? Anyway, I'm an old junkyard person that doesn't mind getting his hands dirty. I'm wanting to know if anyone here can tell me what other year Fortes or maybe Elantras or Sonatas might interchange. I'm pretty sure that there's something that Hyundai made that would interchange but am not POSITIVE. If anyone knows what would fit, I'd certainly appreciate it. I don't know the bolt pattern or offset of these cars.

I'm sure you must realize by now that you can count the number of active, regular participants on one hand (or less), so you're highly unlikely to get a question like that answered here.

How about working with the part number of the one they're selling for $400? With a part number, you can probably find it on Ebay or elsewhere online. And if you can, they typically display a complete 'fits vehicle' list, and that's all you need in order to hit the boneyards.

If that doesn't work, then IMO the tire shops would be the best place to find the cross reference information you're looking for.

Great idea, Bro. I've had a couple of brain surgeries and my thinker doesn't work as well as it used to. I appreciate it. I have to take the wife and daughter to the foot doctor tomorrow morning. If I make it home in time, I'll try that. Thank you very much!

Well, I made it home in time, but had some other things that needed tending to around the house. I was going to call yesterday, but my trunk suddenly wouldn't close after getting groceries out. I took the rest of the day figuring out what was wrong with that and repairing it. Is 75,000 miles the magic number for problems to start occurring on these cars??

check out wheel-size.com it will give you all the specs with rim sizes, offset, center bore, lug pattern and also spare tire info. You can then also search on what cars have that size.

Donut spares are easier to fit as you need bolt pattern and center bore as the main things.
