The Kia Forte generally gets good marks for its longevity. PepairPal, for example, rates the Forte above average and will probably last 150,000-200,000 miles with proper maintenance.

Has anyone hit those miles? If so:

  • Year and model Forte?
  • What percentage of city and highway driving do you do? Do you live in a cold or warm climate?
  • How do you handle maintenance?
  • What problems have you encountered and when?
  • Does your car feel like it is worn out or still feels good? What parts feel worn out (steering, transmission, engine, etc.)?

Ok so I need help now my 2011 Kia won't start doesn't turn the motor over changed starter and battery it makes a very light clicking sound in fuse box I believe. I've checked the anti theft to see if it was triggered and it's not so any ideas? I've check the brake sensor to see if maybe it was going out it looks fine so any help would be great thanks

Ok so I know it's been a long time since I'm replying but just got it figured out we replaced the starter which was not the problem.. None of the fuses were bad which took a while to check so now im about to blow this car up literally take it to scrap yard and someone said pull the serpentine velt off and see if it starts .... well I'm thinking what in the world is this guy thinking but I did and could u believe it started rite up wow crazy im thinking and so I call him and he said check a/c compressor and it was bad it was locked up and wouldn't let it start the car so hope this is helpful to someone else and will maybe save them time and money.. I want to say thanks to everyone here that tried to help me with this issue ... Selling car now that it's fixed

Hi! 2015 Forte LX 205,550 runs great! I bought new with 20 miles on it. Mostly highway miles for the first 4 years. I replaced the serpentine belt a few months ago and flushed the coolant. 2 years ago the multi-fuse burnt out because of the engine fan that had developed a short. Replaced fan and fuse and have had no issues. The clear coat is beginning to fail unfortunately, but other than these things, no issues. Kia mechanic says suspension is still tight. I use full synthetic oil and have since 75k miles. Hopeful this car will run another 25k before I retire it, prices on new are outrageous!!
