I think this bothers me more than anything about the Forte. I park on a lot with many other cars and the Forte looks like it sits higher on it's wheels than any car on the lot. A Toyota Avalon family sedan parks next to me and that looks like a lowered sports car compared to mine. This car sits much higher than my Elantra too. I've thought about lowering it but with the SX's already pretty harsh ride, I'm kind of avoiding it.

Am I the only one that feels this way? The car looks especially tall (compared to other cars) when viewed from the rear.

I don't think that it looks like it rides particularly high. Maybe the SX does, I have an LX, but if you want to see a car that sits high look at a current generation Focus. If anything I think the SX would be lower than the other, more pedestrian, models since it is supposed to be the more sporty model.

Headroom and safety. The car is pretty tucked it's because the window sill has to be higher and then to not look like a bubble. You need a high sill to get good side impact ratings.

When viewed from the front the car seems to look ok height wise. But from the back the car seems too tall and narrow.
That's because of the Forte's big rear end...LoL!

I am in agreement...The front looks normal, the rear looks high...It's a combination of a bunch of things...That is why I am hesitant about getting 18's w/o getting eibach's immediately after....For those of you who do have 18's did it seem to raise the ride height any?

I bottom out all the fucking time on driveways. I won't even touch the gas BOOM bottomed out -_- Thought I ripped my fucking bumper off today.

Did that pulling out of a 7-11 a few weeks back and heard a big thump. Bugged me so bad driving down the road I pulled over to see if I had done anything LOL All was fine though, not sure about underneath however, but I had the car at the dealer since and they didn't say anything.
