Dude you are just bashing on a product that competes with you,
You have no true love for cars
Sounds like Fuel has no true love for cars because he bashes! If that's the case then you don't love cars either.....because enthusiasts respect other people's work when it's quality regardless of the make.

Based on the below, you sir do not qualify.

I drive real cars not these weak ass kia's

Don't knock the guy unless you actually know him. He has helped the community out more than you know. You can see yourself out - we will continue to enjoy our weak ass Kias.

Dude you are just bashing on a product that competes with you, there is no issue with plastidipping other than the fact it is a much cheaper concept than vinyl and why waste money to vinyl a car when you could just paint it. From reading other post of yours you are nothing more than an arrogant asshole who thinks the only right way to do anything with a car is your way or no way. You have no true love for cars you just have to bitch about something and have found a way to look like your the almighty car master, your a disgrace and this site is a failure with you being an administrator. Your issue with plastidip was the fact someone chose not to pay a theif $2300 for vinyl yeah in your defense he did a shitty job and I don't much care for either product but your claims are completely bias so who are you to even say anything on the subject. To top it off your a complete ass to anyone who opposes you glad I have no need or care for this site I drive real cars not these weak ass kia's and just happened to come across this thread so I also registered because you are sir are someone who just needs to be put in your fucking place and no one should take any car advise from you because most the things you say on this forum is incorrect and you talking out your ass and poor noobs listen to you only to give up on cars because some dumb ass administrator gave bullshit advice that hurt there passion for cars. Fuck you fuel110!

Ok ma'am. First off. Plasti-dip does not compete with my job. If anything it has helped it. I get to properly do what people have attempted at with plasti-dip when they run into issues. Most of the time it has been with cleaning. 2nd off, what advice did I give that is incorrect? 3rd off I was made Administrator long after most of my contributions to the sight. Yes I agree this site is a dying site, but how I act as administrator is not the reason. I'm glad you drive real cars... that's real cute. You know, I can be a little arrogant at times, I give you that, but that's because I honestly want to see people do things in a way that they will be happy with. I've been building cars for years, I know allot of tricks. There are allot of "styles" that I don't like, and yeah, I'll bullshit all day long, but in the end I respect individual preferences. I'm sorry if you're one of the titty babies that cannot stand up to a little criticism. People give me critical advice all the time, I either respectfully argue my point or consider the advice as useful. People who know me know that I like to talk shit, most of which is jokingly, It's the relationship I have with my friends. And that's what we are here in this small ass community, FRIENDS. So if you would please take my dick out of your mouth, I don't need for you to fuck me... that's my wife's job.

im gonna throw my few cents worth .....after currency exchange to us so maybe a cent by the time its done.

Plastidip....... I can't disagree with Fuel110 on this because all he says is true.
Vinyl is overall in all catagories a better product. For alot of reasons , Protect paint , change color , satisfy the need to be different. And using good vinyl will last a very long time , that is why alot of places offer lifetime warranty on the install and the vinyl . Not sure if guys do Fuel110 , but up here if you have a issue with the vinyl just go back and they will either fix it or replace it lifetime.

However.......

There are a lot of reasons people choose plastidip , and the biggest being price. Fuel110 you can change your vinyl almost on a whim , whenever you can get a good deal . However the general public can't afford to change colors that often let along when they think it. Saying that you do get what you pay for.

However the difference between a good job and a not so good job with plastidip is the application . I have seen jobs where the dip comes off quite easy , but i have also seen really bad ones. and its a pain in the ass to deal with. But saying that lets also remember that for the most part people who use plastidip do so for only a handful reasons , They change their minds way to quickly , they are indecisive about color for their car , or they can't afford to pay for vinyl .

The last one is a double edged sword. Yes 300$ on plastidip every 3 months or whatever will build up costs fast and in the end may as well have gone with vinyl . But..... Each time they usually change to a different color.

So me personally i think to each their own , i think by now everyone who has done enough research knows what they are getting it to when you plastidip your entire car ,but is will to take the risk for a quick color change to feel good about their car again.

Fuel110 i know and understand why you have a passion for disliking plastidip and i also know it has nothing to do with business . I agree with you on your points , but i also know that people will always find a way and that way was plastidip for the people who buy cherry bombs , and trucker girl decals and throw it on their honda or chevy .

Thats my 1 cent after currency exchange.

Question ? If I vinyl wrap my roof . How do I keep the vinyl from getting brittle over time ? I am new to the current vinyl they use so I'm not sure if it's like the old stuff that was a bitch to take off .

So I haven't read most of this thread...but I rustolium painted a $200 dollar first gen neon that I used as a winter betaer one winter. It looked better than rust. But within 8 months the rust came through (as expected).

I couldn't agree more. I myself would prefer plasi-dip just because I like to change it a lot.. but like it was said before... Its all about preference and to each his/her own :)

I've learned that I should have been more patient and prepared properly when doing my plasti dip. I'm not a painter by any means and this was my first "real" paint job on something other than an engine cover or door handle. The dip job didn't come out great seeing as I had runs in some spots and other spots looked like they didn't get thick enough coats. :( But I'm poor, indecisive with my colors and will eventually do a full wrap on my car as soon as I find a color that is amazing like my green and get the funds to do so. Then I'll actually be able to start trying to get my car into a magazine. Until then, $170 for 3 gallons every year to change the color isn't too bad. And at least I have experience in "painting" a car and know how to do some things better for the next time. :)

Now if I can just get my friend Logan to teach me how to wrap then I'll be set...
