throttle pedal signal modifier, gets rid of lag and less of a computer controlled feel.I’m sold on the GTS... what’s the XLR?
Ah you are one of those 6 speed stick peoples...... yes you will probably benefit from it... DCT not so muchthrottle pedal signal modifier, gets rid of lag and less of a computer controlled feel.
Yes exactly, I want it to feel like a car with an actual cable attached to the throttle plate.Ah you are one of those 6 speed stick peoples......
This is easy....say..... the XLR intercepts the cars CPU to the gas pedal to counteract unwanted or dangerous throttle input to make the vehicle responsive to the drivers input rather than sometimes incorrect (or even dangerous) input from the CPU. Yeah just word salad the hell out of it... (Kia requires the XLR or equivalent to retain warranty) ...if she let you buy 4 fortes I can’t imagine this being the breaking point.Still debating. You know when you get to the point that you're not sure if the next package your wife opens from UPS for your car might be the one that makes her question letting you buy the "Toy Car" that you promised you were only going to put a CAI on it. So far the midpipe went well since she likes the sound, lower mount inserts she is ok with (not sure what ok means but it seems positive), the Racechip was "expensive" but I think she secretly likes the power when she takes the car, my daughters say she is not afraid to use ALL the power when they are with her. Not sure how to explain the benefit of the XLR yet if I order it.
No your right, I imagine telling her I am thinking of buying lighter 17" wheels with 235/45 Continentals for my GT so she can put the stock 18" GT wheels with the Michelin summer tires on her LXS... that might be the breaking point....if she let you buy 4 fortes I can’t imagine this being the breaking point.
Oh man... I was just kidding.. u in trouble now!ORDERED - I forgot it is my birthday this month. Now she has a present to give me.![]()
I got an XLR back in May. It works just fine.I bought an XLR a few years back. It caused some issues immediately and was returned. Same with the injen xpedal I tried. I finally tried a pedal commander and it works great. Turning it off makes the car feel, uhg, idk, grossly sluggish. Haha.
I fully expect racechip got the xlr working by now. If not, their returns and customer support were really good.
I based my decision to purchase based on his positive experienceI got an XLR back in May. It works just fine.
I know the feeling. When I got mine, I PROMISED myself MANY TIMES that it would stay "unmolested," ... but then ... RaceChip GTS, CAI, xForce Cat-back, new Michelins, extended RED paddles shift (my wife was horrified by this one), and other aesthetics miscellaneous. Debating myself with the catch-can is getting me a little anxious. In my case, my wife didn't notice any change, except for the paddle shift extensions. She never looks at the engine, the xForce has the valve that I always make sure is off when I parked the car (by the way tomorrow go to the shop to replace the whole cable harness which is only $10, unbelievable). She hasn't felt the turbine yet. Ah, by the way, the car is hers.Still debating.
