It's this pink/purple bar on the cluster (underneath the mileage reader) that goes back and forth. Let me try to get a picture. But in a few hours when I go out next.

Are you referring to the event computer installed in modern cars? Similar to a flight data recorder on aircraft, the event computer will record throttle position, speed and often braking. The event computer is sometimes used to prove guilt or innocence after an accident.

This feature is incorporated in the main computer of most cars.

This guage(0-50). It goes dark when at a full stop, and at heavy throttle. It goes full pink/purple when coasting, or very light throttle.

What I've noticed is the more pink/purple the better the gas mileage.

That's just the instant MPG gauge. I don't believe it tracks anything.

Be nice if it gave you an actual number tho.

My 6 speed FE has it, so yours definitely has it

Mine turns red when I'm in sport mode so maybe yours is a different color. It also might depend on how you have your cluster set up?

No joke though...this thing is extremely helpful letting me know when I need to ease off the gas.

If you click through the screen with the toggle on the right side of the steering wheel you'll see it in there. May not be color, but it's in there
