Had the Koup since new, been the wife’s car. Had to get rid of my Mini in place of on SUV, challenges of being a grandpa lol. Any way looking at some 17x9 +30 rims and need advice if anyone is running this size and what if any problems. Thanks for helping an old man out.

Why the need for a 9" wide rim? The factory 17" wheels were 7" wide with a 215/45-17 tire. For a 9" rim you will need a tire that is at least 235 wide so that mean a 235/40-17. And +30 offset is not enough. The wheel and tire will stick out much more. That will cause rubbing in the wheel wells on turns. You will need +50 at the minimum.
Thanks, everything I was finding said 9” would fit but with adjustments lol. Reason was found a set of used rims I really liked but the 9” worried me and wasn’t what I really wanted to do
On an 8” wide rim is a +35 going to give me problems as I want to lower it slightly. And inch or so
