So I want to get a whiter glow from my headlights, do I need an HID lighting kit, or can I just by HID bulbs and put those in my headlights, for high and low beams?

You can do both. The stock bulb is a H11B which is basically a fancy H11 bulb without the black covering. I am in the debate right now for which to buy, EIKO 55W or 35W 4300k HID.

Wrong. H11 will not fit into the H11b connectors w/o an H11 pigtail or wiring. The blades in the H11 are covered by plastic and are rotated 90*. The bulb will fit in the socket but will not contact the blades.

Now as far as HID, you can order and H11 kit and remove the spades from the socket and transfer. Maybe that's what bryan was trying to say but didn't explain.

You will need the kit containing the ballasts or you won't be able to ignite the HID bulbs. You cannot just buy HID bulbs and plug them up.

I have never retro fitted projectors, any brand/model recommendation (Mini M1 Projector)? I really like the Optima SX projectors, SUPER CLEAN lines!! I'll try and snap a picture next time I drive it at night.

6000K is a better light temp. 4300K is almost yellow. 6000K is the closest to white you'll get
