Kia badges pre facelift have tabs, so you'd need to replace them with a different badge. Post facelift, no tabs, so you can just pull them off and leave them off. Get some fishing line and saw at the adhesive underneath and they'll come off.

Also, not to sound blunt, but does anyone really think swapping or removing badges will actually deter anyone? I can spot a Forte based on light signature at night with no other cues, so in broad daylight, you'd think thieves would know what a Forte looks like, and you'd be wasting your money unless you like the debaged look or different badge. Just my $0.02
the second link I posted are covers that are made of metal. They stick directly over factory emblems without needing to remove the front and back.

Not many of the general populace can spot a Forte driving by in a crowd of other cars like we can. I’m debadged and even guys at work still ask “what kind of car is that again?” Unless it’s a K5 or Soul, most just don’t recognize our cars.

Now, there may be a few of these morons who study what there target is and no matter what camouflage you do, they know. Also, if you can, re-badge with the new logo, because if they are savvy they’ll know the newer cars aren’t a worthy target.

I badged my 23 last night, wasn't difficult, took about 30-45 minutes all-in to remove the decals and adhesive. Goo Gone and microfiber cloths were helpful. Per Goo Gone's direction, make sure you wash it off afterwards. I got lazy and just ran it though a $4 car wash as I needed fuel anyway. Probably also going to get the steering wheel decal cover in matte black from Just Stik It, as the chrome is still visible through my tint. None of this is perfect, but I'm assuming it couldn't hurt.

Why are videos still on YouTube, instagram and tik tok in how to do this? Especially YouTube? So called “reporters” showing people how to do this is essentially promoting criminal activity. They will take down a video over a joke but not this? I don’t understand
Simply put, because America's priorities are backwards.

Progressive has always sucked anyway, and that's only in areas super affected by the thefts. The media always makes a big deal of these types of things
I had Progressive before I switched to Liberty Mutual. Moving from them literally cut my premiums in half. At every renewal Progressive raised my rates.

The club IS a deterrent. Since these thefts are mainly amateurs looking for a quick joyride they are more likely to move on to an easier (your well insured) target.
You will be surprised at the tiny price difference between bargain basement insurance vs good insurance. But you did miss the point of my comment... you should never share how you theft proof your car. If you like the club and I want your car thanks for the heads up, I will bring my club twister.

And now Liberty Mutual just refused a new policy for my wife by herself on her 2022 Kia Soul. We are separated and getting a divorce. She is currently on my insurance policy with that Soul. She has never in her life had a ticket or an accident. They refused to start her a new policy if she was removed from our current policy.

Same here, my policy on my forte can’t be changed.

I have a Progressive renewal coming up in a few weeks, waiting to see if I get renewed at what cost or denied
Shouldn’t drop you but your rates will go up. Sad to say.
