Sunvisor Internal Rattles

Has anyone else heard the occasional rattles inside the sun visors? If you tap on them you can hear it sometimes as well. Temperature can affect it that is why it is not always obvious. Wondering if anyone has found a fix or a way to stop it. I think it is related to the sliding mirror cover or internal tracks but not positive on that.

Don’t get mad...I thought I had a rattle in that area too.. it turned out to be the seat belt adjuster on the B pillar.. try adjusting it up or down and see if it goes away for a bit. I have to punch mine once a month or so to shut it up.

I have heard this too, I thought it was the sunroof, I'm gonna check this on my way home from work today.

If we’re listing rattles around the cabin, I’ve got three:
1. Reverse lockout lever on my shift knob. Annoying as hell.
2. Height adjust for driver side seatbelt
3. There’s a slight buzzing right around the front left part of the dashboard. Not terrible but it’s noticeable when the radio goes quiet for a second.

If you keep it in sport mode the buzzing on the dashboard might be the stupid little speaker they put in for fake engine noise. When you hear the noise turn sport mode off and on and see if it comes and goes with the button presses. It's pointless, I hated it and disconnected mine.

I stuffed a rag between my visor and the headliner and that rattle went away. The seatbelt adjuster rattle was solved by a business card folded in half... the one that really drives me crazy is the sunroof. When it's cold outside it rattles on every bump. I can grab the frame and make it shut up but can't figure out what to tighten to make it go away.

Wow. I don't have any interior rattles after 55k+ miles. The only "rattle" I find is when I make a high speed turn, there is a resonating sound and I most definitely think it's the front crossmember. The N cars have vibration absorbers mounted in the front and rear crossmembers.

That’s really good to hear. The overall quality of these cars is vastly superior to other brands.

I don’t want to seem as tho my interior sounds like a maraca from hell as it certainly isn‘t. The only thing that bugs me is the shifter rattle. That will be solved once I can order my short shifter.

Yeah I’ve got that but I didn’t list it. The buzzing I’m talking about is from the front left section of the dashboard. It’s most likely just a vibration caused by a certain resonance at a certain rpm.
