Check all your fuses and report back.

 

I've done that they all are ok. Only way I can get the brake lights to go off is taking the brake fuse out.

 

Have you inspected your brake light switch? It is on the arm your brake pedal is on. Look for the switch/plunger and verify that the rubber bumper is in place. Did you see what appears to be pieces of plastic/rubber on the floor under the brake pedal?

 

No actually I haven't. I will check that out and report back. The switch would cause the eco light and traction light to come on and the cruise to stop working?

I hope your issue has been solved.
I may have the same issue. My break light is stay on no matter what.
The break switch is in the right position and still working well.
The Kia Service guy said that the break relay may cause this problem and it takes 60 days to order.
Please advise your suggestion. Thanks

If your brake light switch rubber bumper is missing/broken/cracked then you better get ready to replace the transmission shift cable bushing:

You need to order part number 32876 4B000. It is a stopper that goes in the brake pedal arm that pushes the plunger in on the stop light switch to turn the brake lights off. They get old, break and fall out which causes the lights to stay on. Easy and cheap fix...
