I thought I could make a contribution to this thread. I recently replaced all of my interior lights with LEDs. The visor bulbs, map bulbs, and the bulb in the trunk are all DE3022 31mm Festoon bulbs. I ordered my sets from JTech on Amazon. The license plate bulbs were 168/194/T10 bulbs. All of the interior lights were 12 SMD LED Bulbs, and the plate bulbs were 5 SMD LEDs. Hope this helps!

KIA Forte 2012 4 doors light bulbs types

Does someone have a list of light bulbs types for the 2012 Forte 4 doors?
In the Owner's Manual at page 8-2 it's specified only the wattage, as you can see here http://www.kia.ca/content/ownership/ownersmanual/12forte_en.pdf

I found this site http://www.kifomanual.com/specifications_consumer_information_and_reporting_safety_defects-176.html witch shows the bulb type but it says that the model 2014-2015 is the second generation and I don't know if it's the same thing as the 2012 model.

Regards

LATER EDIT:

Finally I got from the local dealer that the low beam is H11b, they don't seem to know or have a list of all the bulb types for the 2012 Forte, but I incline to believe that all the models till 2013 are considered First Generation and they use the same bulb types.
I needed to replace the the low beam bulb on the driver side and had to remove the headlight beceuse there was't any space to remove the bulb cap because of the battery.

I bought a Certified H11b light bulb from Canadian Tire for 17$ and the bulb is manufactured be Osram and identical with the bulb that came in the car. Here is a link of another bulb, unfortunately the H11b is not online http://www.canadiantire.ca/en/automotive/automotive-lighting-bulbs/halogen-bulbs/standard-halogen/certified-halogen-headlight-bulb-1-pk-0203052p.html

Here is the burned out bulb:

Better Late than Never

Someone asked about the difference between a H11 and H11b, the pigtails are different, and as you can see in the reply above, the H11b has a funky side mount terminal setup. I have also heard that the are clocked differently, so if you change to HID's style bulbs you need to be careful that the ground electrode isn't blocking the beam or you will have black shadows.

Also when people were asking about the difference between 2357 and 1157, I have always found this sight extremely helpful. Looks like a very slight brightness difference on the blinker/brake filaments, and shorter life on the 2357.

Hope this helps!

hi

I Have 2012 Kia Forte Sedan ( Called CERATO In K.S.A ) , I Got H7 Bulb Size For The Low Beam And H1 For The High ,

I Purchased HID H7 Xenon Conversation Kit , It's On The Way , After Installing I'll Upload Photo .

What is The Bulb Size For The Day Time head Lighting ( Which Located In The Same Housing Of The High Beam ) ?

So this is here for anyone who needs information on lights for the 2016 Forte Sedan LX/LX+, here's the list.
Your mileage may vary. Take this with a grain of salt if your model year is 2014/2015/2017 or you have a different trim level.

Headlight (Low): H11 (NOT H11B)
Headlight (High): H1
Fog Light: H8
Daytime Running Light (Located with High Beam): 194/T10
Parking Light / Turn Signal (Front): 1157 (VLEDs V3 Triton is *not* compatible with the front due to the housing design)
Parking Light (Front-Side): 194/T10 (Maybe 921? I'm not sure if our housing can handle the heat output of those)
Dome Light: 3022 (Festoon Type)
Glove Box Light: 194/T10
Trunk Light: 3022 (Festoon Type)
Turn Signal (Rear): 1156
Brake Light / Tail Light (Outside): 1157 (Not applicable to those with the LED type tail light)
Tail Light (Inside): 1157 (Not applicable to those with the LED type tail light)
Center High Mount Stop Light: 1156
Reverse Light: 921/T15
License Plate Light: 194/T10

I do not have data on: Vanity Mirror Light and Map Light

I have a 2016 LX model that came without fog lights. I ordered a fog light kit off eBay & installed them last year. Fit & finish is perfect & the light housing look like OEM. I'm trying to install LEDs in the fog lights and the H8 don't fit. When I pull up a parts fiche of the fog light assemblies - the bulbs I have match the description and picture in the fiche, but it doesn't give a size only a KIA part number.

Does anyone know what size they are?

Hey guys, I was thinking of changing the bulbs of my TD's headlights but I am a bit confused. There are four bulbs in each assembly. I know the left most is the turn signal light so it's obvious what bulb I need. But what are the other three? What's the cap on the bulb for?

thank you!

That's to difuse & throw/bounce the light onto the reflection dish/bowl & disperse according & properly for night driving. It's made of metal (aluminum) the rest is made of chrome plating on plastic.

Don't break or remove that. It will spread the light output everywhere like a flood light.

Got it. Would you happen to know what the three bulbs are?

Apparently you have the Chinese Forte headlights off of ebay! They use different turn signal bulbs and the running light is a peanut bulb next to the high beam bulb.

If you look at the back of the headlight you will see the bulb number cast into the plastic next to each bulb socket.
